Doodletopia Fairies is a fun how-to-draw book that goes from basic fairy drawing to more complex, detailed imagery.
Over the years, I’ve used several Christopher Hart how-to-draw books with my girl. She’s loved to draw from a very young age, and his books are great for all skill levels. The fairy book drew me in as it reminded me of when my girl was younger and was just starting her journey into drawing. She loved things like fairies and dragons.
This time, I thought I would try my hand at drawing. It quickly became clear that M did not get her drawing skills from me. Some people have natural talent and others don’t. I don’t. That said, I was able to come up with some cute fairies with the instructions. Granted, my fairies didn’t exactly look like his. Maybe with more practice, I could come up with better replicas of his creations.
In the hands of a better artist, this book could help create a fairyland filled with all different fairies.
